This one was pretty easy, the PS4 and the XB1 has yet to put out a pedigree title (even including the multiplayer games). NBA2K14 and FIFA are great and probably the best iterations compared to their last-gen counterparts; but neither title is worthy of Game of the Year.
The best next-gen game is not Killzone or Forza…its Super Mario 3D World for the WiiU.
The Galaxy series was beloved by critics, but 3D World is exponentially better than that series - its like a blend of Mario 64, Galaxy, and Super Mario Bros 3 - infusing the best elements from the various series.
IF Nintendo can keep churning out AAA titles like this (alongside the excellent Wind Waker HD - a remake but a VERY GOOD remake) at a better clip than what they have produced so far, then there is a SLIGHT CHANCE they can recoup and become a player this generation.
